Tilting Table is installed and running

The tilting table is finally assembled and running in the lab located on IB-S at UMinho.
This equipment will be used to test the seismic capacity of dry joint structures which will be tested in the coming weeks.

This steel structure is connected to a 200kN hydraulic actuator through a steel cable which moves through rollers connected to one of the test frames existing in the lab. The tilting angle is measured using a digital inclinometer.

The current setup is able to reach a tilting angle of around 40º, which suffices our needs. The tests will be monitored using a 2 camera DIC System to compare with numerical simulations.
