The S4H team member, Dr. Shaghayegh Karimzadeh recently presented two conference papers at the 39th General Assembly (GA) of the European Seismological Commission (ESC2024) in Corfu, Greece.

The first paper is titled “Simulated Ground Motion Dataset in the Azores Plateau, Portugal, on the Rock and Soil Sites”. This paper discusses a region-specific ground motion dataset simulated for Azores region in both rock and soil and the proposed validation approach.

The second paper is titled “Improved Stochastic Site-based Simulations and ANN-based Ground Motion Models for Parameter Prediction”. This paper discusses a novel developed site-based stochastic ground motion simulation approach with machine-learning based ground motion models.
